Dear Trish;
This is for the lady asking about any others who belong to A.C Nelson? I've been a
member for almost three years anow, and can't be more pleased with the way they
conduct themselves. Once you've learned to scan every purchase and get into the
habit then it becomes 'ol hat to do it. For example they give you a specific day to
do your transmitting back to them (mine is Tuesdays),if you forget (like I do occas-
sionally) No biggie. When you receive your first package from them you will get ALL
the equipment needed, scanner, charger and base to charge it in. Keep the box it
came in though..if you change your mind or have a equipment problem there is a
"no cost" shipping label thats in the clear plastic label cover on front of box...take
out the green paper and flip it over for return address..slip back into sleeve and pull
the strip of tape off to seal it. Inside the box is where the no-postage label is found..
just wet it and put on front of box,put all the equipment in the molded foam insert,
and close up and tape securely. There is the usual customer # to call if in trouble.
99% of time things go perfect though. You get points for each week you transmit
and after awhile the value will go up and after you've collected a amount, you can
trade in for prizes(nice ones too). I know this is more than she was expecting, but
I'm so completely pleased with this program..so easy to do. She can email me at
ljsgsll50@yahoo.com if she wants to know any more. Thanks for a great place,
and all the freebies..Jean S.,NC

I did this for 1 year before I got tired of doing this. It was frustrating
at first, something new to learn, but became easier as time went by. It is a
bit time consuming. You are tired after coming home from shopping then you have
to still scan everything. It took me one year to get enough points to get a
gift of 25,000 points. I took all the surveys and did all the other things
they offer to get points and it took a year to get that many points.
If you have the time it is an ok thing to do.

i do the homescan panel and have for a couple of years. i just love it.
the points are nice too. it takes some time to accumulate them but the rewards
are nice. it really doesn't take too long to scan. i might take, at the most,
30 minutes a week. of course, it's only me and my child. we don't have a whole
lot to scan like a family of four might.
i shop more often than some, but buy less than a weekly shopper. scanning things
isn't hard and the support panel is there to help whenever you have questions.
i have had to call them quite a few times. they have included a lot of the things
i first had questions about in the FAQ's so i don't have to call them as much, but
when i do they are always nice. i think i started doing it very close to the beginning
of neilsen beginning it. it has changed a lot since i have been a member.
i have a coworker that registered and they started her almost right away, but that is
very unusal, i think.
if anyone registers, don't give up. i had to wait about 4 or more months,
but i got started. good luck!!!!!!

Hi Trish I used the ACNielsen's homescanner. It was fun and according to how
long you have been a homescan consumer you get small gifts. I don't remember
all of the gifts I got but I do remember getting a stainless steel coffee
mug. However many points you aquire from you transmissions you can turn in
for gifts from the gift page also. The only problem I had with them was if
you didn't transmit your shopping trips every week they start calling you
wanting to know why. I had to go out of town for an emergency and they
called everyday demanding that I send them the scanner back because I
skipped two weeks and forgot to tell them before I left. Then I sent it back
to them and they were still calling me months later saying that I would have
to pay for the scanner because I refused to send it back. I had to talk to
several people before I got them to understand that I sent the scanner back
months before. If any of your readers do it just tell them they have to
sumbit a shopping trip every week or they will be driven crazy!!!! Love the
newsletter and congrats on the new baby.

Trish,
I just want to say I love your newsletter. I have been a member of the Homescan Panel
for 8 months now. I love it and have redemened points for quite a few nice gifts, like
a electric weed trimmer for example. At first I had problems remembering to scan every
purchase, but I moved the scanner next to where I keep my keys, now everytime I come
home I see it and remember to scan. Congrats on the new grandson he is a doll.
